Welcome to WNY Fencing!
Who we are
The WNY Division of the USFA is a division of the North Atlantic Section of the United States Fencing Association. (a.k.a. the USFA) We are responsible for overseeing and sanctioning many of the fencing activities that occur in Western New York. With member clubs in most of the major metropolitan areas of the region, we endeavor to bring the enjoyment of fencing to anyone who is interested.
What we do
The division supports fencing in WNY in a variety of ways including:
- Promoting the sport of fencing
- Educating and developing of fencers, coaches, referees, and armorers
- Supporting fencing clubs
- Organizing and administering competitions within the division
- Promoting competitions outside the division
- Facilitating the objectives of the USFA
- Qualifying fencers to attend the Junior Olympics
- Qualifying fencers to attend the USFA Summer Nationals
Where we are
We serve the USFA fencers and clubs located in New York State that are west of the Hudson Berkshire Division – specifically, those located in Chautauqua, Niagara, Erie, Cattaraugus, Orleans, Genesee, Wyoming, Allegany, Monroe, Livingston, Steuben, Wayne, Ontario, Seneca, Schuyler, Chemung, Cayuga, Tompkins, Tioga, Onondaga, Cortland, and Broome counties.UPDATED AUGUST 28, 2008
